Subsequence Magazine is published twice a year by Cubism, the parent company of the visvim brand.

The tagline of "Subsequence" is "Arts & Crafts for the Age of Eclectic." This experimental project will cover a wide range of arts, crafts and culture from all sorts, regardless of generation, gender or nationality. Featuring domestic and international contributors for the editing and compilation processes.

Based on the fundamental idea of unfolding new untold stories through individual perspectives, we are aiming to create a magazine that resembles the works developed by passionate craftsmen and artisans who love their craft. We offer these stories to a wide range of people, as the magazine is intended for those who have an interest in cultural lifestyles. We hope to publish stories that have been forgotten in recent years and provide a window to present the joys of wandering through and experiencing a new undiscovered world. We will publish the magazine periodically when there are stories to be told, so please look forward to it.

Subsequence vol.5(Published at July 2022

The theme for this issue is "Body Presence". Our ability to travel and move around freely has been severely limited over the past couple of years, and we have fallen into habits of placing a multitude of parts from our everyday lives onto the internet and virtual spaces. In reaction to this, I've been struck with a desire to think more about the importance of physical sensations. In this issue we have interviewed many individuals whose careers are based on forms of expression--artists, designers, musicians--and have asked them about the relationship between their work and the physical body. We have also featured a whole range of articles introducing and exploring lesser-known handicrafts, art, and culture from around the world. We hope you will enjoy the beautiful visuals as well as the in-depth content of the written articles.
