Colorful stitching
I found this piece to be very intriguing for the unique details it presented, since it was most likely an unintentional result considering the potential fact that these shirts were supposed to be produced uniformly in large quantities. I decided that I wanted to purposefully include this design detail for a new denim shirt we were developing.

The colorful stitching that is part of the construction for this shirt is not visible when looking at the shirt from the outside
An archival denim shirt was the inspiration piece for the textural expression and faded appearance we attempted to apply to this fabric we developed. The shirt also had some very unique details that is not seen very often in other similar pieces. This shirt incorporated multiple-colored threads for the inner construction of the garment that cannot be seen when the shirt is worn. We assume this to be an accidental detail that was created when the hidden bobbin thread ran out and the sewer decided to utilize whatever extra thread they had on hand regardless of its color.

I found this piece to be very intriguing for the unique details it presented, since it was most likely an unintentional result considering the potential fact that these shirts were supposed to be produced uniformly in large quantities. I decided that I wanted to purposefully include this design detail for a new denim shirt we were developing. We kept the stitching consistent on the outside of the shirt by using only an ivory color, while the inside of the shirt incorporated seven different colors of thread on areas such as the yoke, arms, cuffs, and pockets. Orange, White, Two Shades of Grey, Light Blue, Charcoal, and a Pale Pink. The Pale Pink expresses a subtle color that appears as if a white thread was washed together with a piece of dark red clothing where it ended up absorbing some red dye that bled. Every other color of thread also had a special fade treatment applied to them to create a warm, aged look.
Even though these details are not visible from the outside, I find an appeal in products that have special characteristics about them that only its owner knows about.

A work shirt made with a custom 8 oz. denim material that has orange selvedge details. Each individual shirt undergoes a damaged finish processing that is applied by hand to create a naturally worn in textural appearance and feel.
