From 9/19 (SAT), we will launch the next "WMV Clothing and Harmony" campaign, which presents a new standard of value alongside an accompanying lifestyle through WMV products.
The women's line "WMV" is developed by utilizing techniques and methods that are cultivated at "visvim." Our goal is to create products that have an ability to resonate with ones' heart by crafting them from the inside out to emphasize design elements that are gentle and soft rather than focusing on designs that concentrate on a product's outwardly appearance. Embedded in this output is a desire to convey the beauty of things that age naturally over time, as well as the beauty of people.
At each venue that will be playing host for this campaign, we will be distributing a special booklet titled, "WMV Clothing and Harmony" (16 Page, Full Color, B5 Size, Folded Binding), which features each product that will be offered in this campaign, along with self-styled photos that present designer Kelsi Nakamura herself as the model. (As quantities are limited, booklets will only be available while supplies last.) Each venue is planning to present an expanded sales floor compared to previous campaigns, so we look forward to welcoming you in soon.

The following is an excerpt from the booklet "WMV Clothing and Harmony"

For this WMV campaign, which is now in its third session, we will be introducing a new version of the "Rosebud Boots." For me, these boots represent the very beginning of WMV. Long before there was any talk of launching a women's line at visvim, there were these vintage long boots that I used to wear all the time. These boots were truly a special pair that had been worn in over many years until they became so soft and supple that they had molded perfectly to my feet. When Hiroki saw those boots, he said to me, "Let's make a boot like these." He then went off and developed a new boot, which was the very first Rosebud Boots. The first version was made with a vegetable tanned cowhide upper, and the second version utilized a bison leather. Of course, they are both still in my possession as my cherished boots.
I literally have worn these boots everywhere I would go. Whether I was going to a restaurant, venturing out into the great outdoors, going horseback riding, or riding on the back of a motorcycle. When I was a child, I once burned my leg on the exhaust pipe of a motorcycle while riding with my dad and to this day I still feel a bit of fear, but wearing these boots provides me with a sense of security. I believe that the very concept of WMV lies within an idea that, "it can be used in any situation, and it will adapt or blend in naturally and pleasantly regardless of the context or setting."

Over the years these boots have continued to evolve through many subtle updates that include changes to the types of leather being used as well as adjusting the thickness of the hides, however, the underlying philosophy remains unchanged all the time. For this version, we have widened the boot shaft ever so slightly and further enhanced the stability of the heel. The overall form reflects a design that returns to its roots as it is reminiscent of some of the early models. It is my desire for WMV products to become pieces that get "used" in everyday life. Instead of becoming something that gets carefully tucked away because it's "special," I hope they become something that gets worn often in everyday life to gradually become something that is so unique and belongs solely to the person who has worn them day in and day out. Just like those vintage boots I used to wear all the time. I really hope that these boots will also have that kind of presence with time.
-Kelsi Nakamura / WMV Designer
